Does Subclinical Hypothyroidism Add on Symptoms? (video)

People with hypothyroidism have specific symptoms, including tiredness, dry skin, constipation, palpitations and more. This research study asked if people with subclinical hypothyroidism had symptoms of hypothyroidism or if their health complaints were related to other health issues. In this video, AJM Editor-in-Chief Joseph S. Alpert discusses the findings. You can read “Does subclinical hypothyroidism add on any symptoms? Evidence from a Danish population-based study” by Carle et all in the September 2021 issue of the American Journal of Medicine at at amjmed.com.

You can also read commentary by AJM Open Editor Stuart Chipkin, MD and Alpert: “Don’t React to Symptoms in Patients with Subclinical Hypothyroid Disease” in the same issue.
